Artist Biographies

Naomi Juniper is a vocalist and acoustic guitarist working at the intersection of song, improvisation and sound-based exploration. Her practice often centers on close listening and site-responsive performance, integrating environmental sound, extended vocal techniques and unconventional resonant objects — such as glass vessels — into her work.

Rather than adhering strictly to folk or experimental traditions, Juniper moves between them, allowing fragments of melody and lyricism to surface within open-form structures. Her approach favors intimacy and immediacy: the grain of the voice, the physicality of strings, and the subtle acoustics of place are treated as compositional elements in themselves.
