"The difficult to classify musical practice of Don Brown & Dan Reynolds is presented here in this unauthorized 2008 live recording of an 8 piece ensemble realizing 4 different compositions at a Grange Hall in Gresham, Oregon.

An outstanding group of musicians/others, who were very active in the Portland region during the time and receptive to the ideas of Brown and Reynolds, assembled to record these 4 works which were composed decades apart. An essential piece of the Brown/Reynolds/Old/Holy music puzzle that Sacred Realism is thrilled to bring to a larger audience, the music on this recording has many references and no peers.

This special edition of 100 cassettes features images of Tim Bradley's Spatialization Cues and letters by Don Brown, Dan Reynolds, and Tim Bradley. Each case has a unique swathe of paint on the inner front case cover and the cassettes are covered with Spatialization Cue images"-Sacred Realism

"Andrew Lafkas: bass. Berlin, Germany

Andrew Lafkas is a musician currently living in Berlin, Germany. His primary instrument is the contrabass. He is currently focused on developing pieces for largish ensembles that encourage group intuition; this interest is greatly inspired by and influenced by experiences working in groups led by Milo Fine and Bill Dixon. He is also active in the groups Oceans Roar 1000 Drums, with Todd Capp and Bryan Eubanks, and a trio with Marcia Bassett and Barry Weisblat. He has performed at venues and festivals including Walker Art Center, The Living Theatre, Experimental Intermedia, the Vision Festival, and the Seattle Improvised Music Festival."

"Joe Foster was born in California in 1972, lives in Seoul, and plays improvised music. His main collaborators have been J.P. Jenkins, Bryan Eubanks, Bonnie Jones (as the duo English), Hong Chulki, Choi Joonyong, Ryu Hankil, and Kevin Parks, but that's really not all. He's been in the groups Super Unity, Peevish, Don Brown and Dan Reynolds, and English, and has released CDRs, CDs, a USB, online stuff, and a cassette."
