Artist Biographies

Tony Orzano is a Long Island, NY-based improvising clarinetist and alto saxophonist known for his adventurous work within avant-punk, free improvisation, and experimental jazz milieus. He plays prominently on 577 Records' debut release Balloons on Grass, recorded with guitarist Bryan Rohmer and percussionist Jeremy Wexler-an unplanned, spontaneous studio session from February 28, 2025, emphasizing raw creativity across post-rock, noise, and free-jazz idioms.

More recently, Orzano contributed alto saxophone to a live improvisational set titled Salem Soundwaves x Tony Orzano - TNC 10‑18‑24, recorded at The Next Chapter venue in Huntington, NY, and released digitally in October 2024-bringing ambient, drone, and modular elements to his expressive palette.

"Jeremy D. Wexler is a composer/percussionist from New York. A recipient of a Fulbright Research Award and Kosciuszko Foundation Research Fellowship to study electroacoustic composition at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music and an ASCAP/SEAMUS Commission Award (2nd prize), his work has been premiered by international visionaries including the Novalis Trio, Ukho Ensemble, Proton Bern, Divertimento Ensemble, Mivos, and ECO Ensemble. Completing his initial studies at SUNY Purchase College (B.M., M.M.), Jeremy received his Ph.D. in Music Composition from UC Berkeley in 2023. He currently works at D'Addario & Co. on the product management team for Evans Drumheads, ProMark Drumsticks & Mallets, and Sensory Percussion."
