Captured live in Bavaria in February 2025, these six improvisations pair frequent collaborators German wind instrumentalist Udo Schindler and Catalan pianist Jordina Milla in a series of dialogues where timbre, texture, and spontaneous interplay shape an immersive, poetic sound world influenced by Sylvia Plath's Ariel, blurring the line between composition and open improvisation.

Track 1, 2 and 3 recorded live at Studio&Atelier Schindler, in Krailling/Munich, Germany, February 22nd, 2025.
Tracks 4, 5, 6, and 7 recorded at Musik & Pianohaus Schwinghammer, in Weilheim, Germany, on February 23rd, 2025, by Udo Schindler.
The Dew That Flies brings together German multi-instrumentalist and longtime improviser Udo Schindler and Catalan pianist Jordina Milla in a deeply exploratory duo performance that captures the immediacy and nuance of live spontaneous composition. Recorded over two days in February 2025 in Bavaria — first at Studio & Atelier Schindler in Krailling and then at Musik & Pianohaus Schwinghammer in Weilheim — the seven tracks unfold as intimate sound dialogues rooted in attentive listening and responsive interplay.
The album draws its track titles from Sylvia Plath's poetry collection Ariel, hinting at a poetic sensibility that permeates the music, even as it resists conventional form. Schindler's clarinets, saxophones, and cornet weave through Milla's agile, at times percussive, piano gestures to create sound worlds that oscillate between quiet reflection and bold sonic invention.
Throughout The Dew That Flies, moments of lyrical warmth coexist with abstract textures, and the duo's commitment to real-time creation makes each piece feel both ephemeral and resolute. The result is a finely detailed, immersive listening experience that underscores Creative Sources' dedication to boundary-pushing improvised music and offers a compelling portrait of two improvisers fully present in the moment.
