The follow-up to trombonist Steve Swell's Soul Travelers album with his quintet of saxophonist Jemeel Moondoc, pianist Dave Burrell, bassist William Parker, and drummer Gerald Cleaver, performing Swell's compositions, four instrumental pieces and two textual songs originally commissioned for Tom Buckner's Interpretation Series, with voice from Leena Conquest.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to record a follow-up to Soul Travelers, our 2016 LP. For this recording I wanted to include some music with my text that had been commissioned by Tom Buckner for his Interpretation Series. The two vocals pieces are from two of those commissions that were recorded in full been never released.
"Astonishments" is from "If Trains Could Speak," a work I composed commissioned by the Interpretations Series, first performed on October 5, 2017 at Roulette Performance Space in Brooklyn, NY>.
"Being Here" is from "Being Here! America is Not and Abstract Concept," a work I composed also commissioned by the Interpretations Series, first performed on March 30, 2006 at Merkin Hall in New York City."-Steve Swell
