A new entry in the vast +DOG+ catalogue, The Garden continues Steve Davis's long-running experimental noise project with a solo work recorded in Sudbury, Massachusetts across 2025 and 2026. Active since 1990, when +DOG+ first emerged in Osaka before relocating through Massachusetts, Southern California and back to Massachusetts, Davis has built the project into a central expression of Love Earth Music's rough-edged, prolific sound world: noise, drones, abrasion, ritualistic electronics and collage-like forms that resist polish in favour of direct physical impact.

Despite its pastoral title, The Garden suggests less a retreat into calm than a confrontation with growth, decay and tangled sonic matter, using Davis's composer-performer role to shape a personal environment of harsh texture, unstable resonance and accumulated detail. In keeping with +DOG+'s history, the album treats noise as an active field rather than a fixed style, allowing distortion, density and raw electronic pressure to bloom into an immersive, often unruly sound space.
