How to Shop at Squidco:

We sell several thousand titles, and we recognize that it can be quite difficult to see what we sell or find what you're looking for. Here are some suggestions on how to use our site:

• The Squidco homepage is where we list the most recent new or important additions to our store, ordered by the different genres of music that we sell. We update the page at least twice each week, so check back frequently to stay current.

• The left navigation bar is another easy way to use our store - it lists all of our major categories, including items by major genres and subcategories, formats, and styles. Each link in the navigation bar will take you to a list of items that we sell. Clicking on a title or thumbnail in any list will take you to the full product description for that item.

The first set of links in the left navigation bar, and at the top of the homepage, are the "New" categories ("New in Improvisation", "New in Electro-acoustic", etc) which list the 50 latest titles in each genre. There are also links into the subcategories. Each section lists the most recent additions to the store, which includes restocks or items that aren't necessarily new, but are new to our store.

We also list "Staff Picks" which you can click on from the homepage or from the navigation bar. Staff Picks are items that our staff are particularly excited about, or which we consider essential to our customers.

• Every Squidco page has a search form in the left navigation bar, which will search by various criteria in our catalog. You can also perform an advanced search by clicking the "Advanced Search" text under the search form or along the top of each page. This will allow you to refine and combine your search using more options.

• Squidco by Month shows the additions to our catalog for each month of the year - we currently go back to 2005, when we started adding this feature. Viewing by month is a good way for returning customers to see what they may have missed since the last time they visited the store.

• Squidco also publishes an email mailing list every 2-4 weeks, which lists the most recent additions to the store. The list has links into the store which allows you to quickly scan our new items and jump to the store to see additional information or to purchase and item. You can join our mailing list from the form in the navigation bar, or when placing an order with Squidco. Only members of the email list who have placed an order within the last year are eligible for our twice yearly Friends of Squid private sale.
