"David Mirarchi (b. 1996) is a Queens-based saxophonist, composer, and poet from Peckville, Pennsylvania.

He holds an M.M. in Jazz studies from The City College of New York (2020), and a B.M. in Jazz Studies from Bowling Green State University (2018).

David's artistic practice aims to combine his ever-developing process of transforming written word-- mainly in the form of poetry-- into melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, and structural materials, with experimental compositional techniques, and his love for improvising. Throughout the course of his education, David has studied with luminaries of the New York Jazz and Improvised music scenes, including David Bixler, Jason Rigby, Ed Neumeister, David Liebman, Tony Malaby, and Gary Smulyan. In 2021 David was named a Fellow of the Ravinia Steans Music institute, led by Steve Wilson, Billy Childs, and Rufus Reid. In 2023, David received an honorable mention in the Herb Alpert Young Jazz composers awards for his forthcoming recording Ink Folly Orchid Gleam (Unbroken Sounds). Since moving to New York City, David has released 9 recordings as a leader of 4 projects: Keepsake Box, a solo woodwinds and electronics project; NONLOCAL, a duo woodwinds and bass project; Paper Attic, an improvising quartet project; and Quiet People, a free jazz chord-less quartet (two saxophones, bass, and drums). David is slated to release two full length albums in 2023: Slumber is Consolation for Keepsake Box, and a new trio project called Ink Folly, Orchid Gleam."

"Mathias Højgaard Jensen is a musician who has worked professionally for over a decade. Music has brought him around the world, through most of Europe, Israel and the US, and he has grown to become a musician with an acute sensitivity, and presence.

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Mathias Højgaard Jensen got involved with music at the age of 9 when he taught himself to read sheet music at the piano. At age 10 he picked up the electric bass and music gradually found a way deeper into his life. He got formal training at the talent program at Hørsholm Music school and later at Sankt Annæ Gymnasium and MGK, where fell in love with jazz and started playing double bass. After a stay at the exclusive jazz program at Fridhems Folkhögskola in southern Sweden, he moved to Berlin for his bachelor in Jazz Perfomance. Here he studied under and drew from the musical experiences of many internationally renowned artists including, Greg Cohen, Kurt Rosenwinkel, John Hollenbeck and Jim Black.

In Berlin, Mathias gained a lot of professional experience playing and touring with a variety of bands of ensembles, most notably HOLON TRIO. In 2015 the band won a prize at the International Burghausener Jazzpreis along with an hour long feature, on Bayerischer Rundfunk.

In the fall of 2018 Mathias went to New York to become part of the vibrant world epicenter of jazz, and to take his masters degree at Manhattan School of Music. At MSM he was the student of bass legend Buster Williams, and a student of composition under Jim McNeely's guidance. In May 2020 he graduated and moved back to Copenhagen due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

While in Copenhagen he was commissioned to compose an Orchestral piece which premiered in Hamburg in July of 21' and was performed by HOLON Trio and Ensemble Reflektor under the conduction of Holly Hyun Cho. The piece was recorded and released on Paschen Records in March 2022 on the album "Ad Astra"

Now back in Brooklyn, New York City, Mathias is becoming well situated in the scene and can be heard performing in various clubs and venues across town."

"Eliza Salem is an up-and-coming young jazz drummer. She is currently based in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she is pursuing a jazz degree from the University of Michigan. Part of the next generation of improvisers, she is always working to expand her traditional and modern jazz repertoire and find ways to play "outside the box." Salem is a Metro DC native who learned her craft in the Washington area's vibrant musical and cultural scene under the guidance of mentors Paul Carr and Chris Allen. She draws inspiration from the broader East Coast community's jazz tradition, and has performed at historic DC and Baltimore jazz venues such as Columbia Station, An Die Musik, the Keystone Korner, Twins, and Jojo's. For the past two years, Salem has studied under Michael Gould and Sean Dobbins at U-M's School of Music, and worked closely with professors Ellen Rowe, Dennis Wilson and Robert Hurst. She has performed with the University of Michigan Jazz Ensemble, the Newport Foundation's Generations Jazz Assembly Band, and various other student groups in Ann Arbor and Detroit.
