To The Usual Atomic Rhetoric Vol. 1

Dysmorfic +DOG+: To The Usual Atomic Rhetoric Vol. 1 (Love Earth Music)

Italian avant-grind duo Dysmorfic pair Davide Buccedi's volatile drumming with Tom Conte's fretted and fretless bass, then fold in Steve Davis' +DOG+ electronics for five compact assaults where grindcore velocity, prog-jazz dislocation and harsh ambient noise collide, turning riffs into unstable events and brief tracks into dense, abrasive miniatures of rhythm, texture, tension, resistance, and rupture.

Artist Biographies

Davide Buccedi, also known as Buccia, is the drummer and co-founder of the Italian avant-grind group Dysmorfic, active since the late 1990s and central to the band's evolution from underground grindcore toward a more experimental language incorporating jazz, progressive rock and noise. His playing anchors Dysmorfic's compact, volatile structures with a highly physical approach to speed, rupture and rhythmic instability.

Tom Conte is the bassist and vocalist of the Italian avant-grind group Dysmorfic, whose work with fretted and fretless bass has become a defining element of the band's drum-and-bass-centered approach. Moving beyond a supporting role, Conte's bass often functions as a compositional engine, driving Dysmorfic's fractured riffs, abrasive textures and progressive expansions of grindcore form.
