"Weston Olencki is a New York City based trombonist/composer specializing in the performance and production of experimental music & art. Weston is a member of Ensemble Pamplemousse and the Wet Ink Large Ensemble, one half of RAGE THORMBONES and People Making Sounds, and has performed with Ensemble Dal Niente, wasteLAnd, wildUP!, Fonema Consort, the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, Talea Ensemble, sfSound, Wild Rumpus, Eco Ensemble, Chicago Symphony Orchestra's MusicNOW, and a.pe.ri.od.ic - under conductors Alan Pierson, Enno Poppe, Steven Schick, Marino Formenti, and Michael Lewanski. He was awarded the Kranichsteiner Musikpreis for Performance [2016] and a Stipendiumpreis [2014] from the Darmstadt Ferienkurse.

His compositional work has been performed/commissioned by the Talea Ensemble/Earle Brown Music Foundation, Pamplemousse, Bass2Bass [Michelle Lou + Scott Worthington], People Making Sounds, trombonist Matt Barbier, clarinetist Erin Cameron, and saxophonist David Wegehaupt.

An active proponent of new repertoire, Weston has pursued individual collaborative work with composers Eric Wubbels, Katherine Young, Mauricio Pauly, Dave Reminick, Michelle Lou, Ray Evanoff, and Timothy McCormack, alongside US/world premieres of pieces by Peter Ablinger, Bernhard Lang, Elliott Carter, Michael Gordon, James Saunders, Dai Fujikura, Katharina Rosenberger, Erik Ulman, and Chris Mercer. Festival/series appearances include Alatszto Hang [Budapest], Weisslich [London], Constellation's Frequency Series [Chicago], FOCIarts [New Orleans], Permutations [NYC/SF], sfSoundSalonSeries [SF], NUNC [Chicago], Indexical [Santa Cruz], Switchboard Presents [SF], OPTION [Chicago], and Omaha Under the Radar.

Weston has held residencies at the University of California Santa Cruz, Harvard University [HGNM], NYU, and Stanford University, with upcoming residencies at Northwestern and CalArts. He has recorded for HatHut, Sound American, Indexical, and Clean Feed with forthcoming releases on Carrier."

"Tom Jacques: Multi-instrumentalist and sound artist

Tom Jacques is a multi-instrumentalist and sound artist. His work evolves between composition, improvisation, performance and sound device design, mainly in contemporary music, jazz, and percussion. For the last 5 years, he has been working with various artists and technicians in order to make his own musical instruments and sound installations. This approach allows him to explore unique musical universes that are unattainable with conventional instruments.

Tom Jacques stands out among Quebec's new breed of creative artists. Many of his personal projects and musical ensembles have been acknowledged and supported by the Conseil des Arts et Lettres du Québec through its Bas-Saint-Laurent arts and literature program and its Bas-Saint-Laurent territorial partnership program . He is also supported by the Canada Council for the Arts , and is the recipient of the Bas-Saint-Laurent Best Newcomer Award.

Tom is the Artistic Director of the percussion trio Bascaille, a co-artistic director of the jazz quartet Manta, and a member of the GGRIL (Grand Groupe Régional d'Improvisation LIbre, which means "large regional free improvisation group". He regularly collaborates with artists of all stripes as a musician, composer, and consultant. In 2017, he exhibited a sound device entitled "Comment Où le Son" at a travelling exhibition of the organization Voir à l'Est, and a follow-up entitled "Trajet Pas Pareil" at the 2018 Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV).

This young artist is strongly involved in the cultural community. Currently president of Arte Tracto and director of Culture du Bas-Saint-Laurent, he helped set up Garage à musique de la Haute-Gaspésie, a pilot project inspired by Montréal's GAM, which uses music to help young people lessen the negative impacts of their harsh living conditions. The GAM's services are free."

"Having first studied piano with Carmen Parent was younger, Antoine Létoumeau-Berger discovered the drums at the age of 13 years to finally enroll in 2004 Rimouski Conservatory of Music in Gabriel Dionne percussion class . "Noam Bierstone is a Canadian percussionist, improviser, curator, and producer dedicated to modern and experimental music performance. Committed to the creation and development of new music, Noam's primary artistic ventures include the Montreal concert series and performance collective NO HAY BANDA, the saxophone and percussion duo scapegoat, the Montreal-based percussion quartet Architek, and the Rimouski-based trio Bascaille. Noam pursues ongoing collaborations with various composers and artists, with a particular interest in works that expand the notion of percussion playing through new techniques, hybrid instruments, theatrical and choreographic elements, and performative electronics. Noam is regularly invited to perform at international festivals, and his discography includes releases on No Hay Discos, KAIROS, New Focus Recordings, Ambiances Magnétiques, NMC, and Cantaloupe Music.
