" "Dandelions On Fire", an unexpected and surprising collaboration born from the remarkable talents of the awesome guitar player Simone Massaron (a great musician at ease with different genres), who wrote the music to the songs and arranged almost everything, and Carla Bozulich, renowned cult artist , who is an amazing lyricist and singer. Blues, ballads, folk music, improvised moments...all to create a compelling collection of songs and haunting melodies. The band supporting Simone and Carla is a special one too: Zeno De Rossi on drums is one of the most gifted players emerging out of the new jazz and improvised music scene in Italy. Andrea Viti and Xabier Iriondo have a glorious past as their background with the famous and acclaimed band Afterhours and now move between classic rock and experimental music independently. Other great musicians also took part to the recording session."-Long Song Records

Artist Biographies
• Show Bio for Simone Massaron "I was born in Milan in 1971. I began studying piano with my father Sergio, an orchestra conductor. In the first 16 years of my life I played different instruments (piano, guitar, bass, drums) in various local bands, creating a multi-instrumental background that influenced my way of playing and conceiving the guitar. From the age of 16 I dedicated myself exclusively to guitar and jazz, studying with Massimo Minardi and Roberto Cecchetto and participating in masterclasses with Pat Metheny, Bill Frisell and Mick Goodrick. For more than twenty years I have also dedicated myself with passion and energy to teaching the guitar. My style on the instrument shows my eclecticism and my tendency to easily pass through genres, such as radical improvisation, free avant-garde, live looping but also pre-war blues and the re-musicing of silent films. I love the guitar in all its forms. I have always experimented directly on the structure of the instrument (I have a diploma in lutherie), I have approached and modified various types of instruments, including the fretless guitar, and I continue my research every day. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Marc Ribot, Elliott Sharp, Nels Cline, Carla Bozulich, Tiziana Ghiglioni, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Rob Mazurek, Peter Evans, Gianluca Petrella, Steve Piccolo, Gak Sato, Leena Conquest, Xabier Iriondo, Giovanni Maier, Tiziano Tononi, Daniele Cavallanti, Jenny Scheinman, Zeno de Rossi, Massimo Pupillo, Giulio Corini, Piero Bittolo Bon, Craig Green, Scott Amendola and many others." ^ Hide Bio for Simone Massaron • Show Bio for Carla Bozulich "Carla Ragin Bozulich (born December 24, 1965) is an American musician based in Los Angeles, known as the lead singer, lyricist and founder of The Geraldine Fibbers and Evangelista as well as a founding member of Ethyl Meatplow and Scarnella. The Geraldine Fibbers recorded two albums for Virgin Records. Their first album (Lost Somewhere Between The Earth And My Home) was described as "...a Country Feedback Masterpiece" by Vice (magazine) Bozulich's Evangelista project began in 2006. The album was under her own name and titled Evangelista. The album was released by Montreal, Quebec-based Constellation Records and was that label's first release by a non-Canadian artist. In 2007, The Sunday Times called Evangelista "...a vivid inner darkness which shames rock's weeping millionaires." On the albums Hello, Voyager (2008), Prince of Truth (2009) and In Animal Tongue (2011), Bozulich adopted Evangelista as a project name. Some consistent members include bassist Tara Barnes, keyboardist/sampler Dominic Cramp, guitarist Nels Cline, violinist Jessica Moss, organist Nadia Moss, drummer Ches Smith, multi-instrumentalist and co-producer Shahzad Ismaily. Various members of Godspeed! You Black Emperor contributed to arranging, recording and additional collaborative songwriting. The line-up of Evangelista changes each time they play or record. The Hello, Voyager album features 14 musicians over various pieces. In 2014, Constellation released Boy, under Bozulich's name, as solo artist. Her most recent album with Constellation, Quieter was released in May 2018 and is a compilation of previously unreleased recordings. Bozulich has also been involved in other projects, including collaborations with Francesco Guerri, Noveller/Sarah Lipstate and Devin Sarno." ^ Hide Bio for Carla Bozulich • Show Bio for Francesco Guerri "Francesco Guerri, cellist and composer, was born in Cesena in 1977.
