The instruments at the center of the session are clay slabs, pit-fired during the workshop itself, transformed from raw earth into resonant percussive bodies.

Participants activate these fired surfaces alongside congas, whistles and voice, generating a communal soundscape that is at once elemental and exploratory. The clay produces dry cracks, hollow thuds and brittle, ringing tones — textures that contrast with the rounded warmth of hand drums and the breathy calls of whistles. Voices rise intermittently, blurring the line between ritual gesture and spontaneous improvisation.

Rather than presenting a polished studio artifact, the recording captures process in motion: the collective discovery of newly made instruments, the tactile immediacy of touch against fired earth, and the social energy of group creation.
