Artist Biographies

DJ Lenar, real name Marcin Lenarczyk, is a composer of electroacoustic and musique concrète. From his website:

"My compositions are a musical collage created with the help of looped fragments of traditional, contemporary and concrete music. I do not have favorite styles. I take subjectively and look for sound in all genres of music and fieldrecording. When playing I use turntables, loops and vinyl records.

As a sound director, I deal with the entire film production process. From working on the sounddesign at the script level, to recording on the set and post-production finalized with cinema mixing.

I am the author of the sound installation being a part of the "Hotel Polonia.BudynkówŻycie po życiu" project which won the main Golden Lion award at the 11th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice. My concert in the framework of Ars Acustica (an annual merger of radio stations from all over Europe dedicated to the art of sound) was broadcast by Polskie Radio Pr.2 and retransmitted by the most important European radio stations. In 2013, at Koszaliński Festiwal Debiutów Filmowych "Młodzi i Film" together with the band, I received an award for sound for "creating a professional atmosphere for a big city" for the film Stacja Warszawa."
