Artist Biographies

"Håvard Volden is a guitarist and electronic musician based in Oslo, Norway. In 2013 he released his first solo album "Silence, But" on Meddle Records. The album consists of a collection of improvisations recorded over four years, edited and mixed into two longer tracks. Besides his solo performances, Volden has played an important role in the music scene in Oslo and has collaborated with improv legend Toshimaru Nakamura. Current projects include the noise rock band Moon Relay, the improv trio Muddersten (with Martin Taxt and Henrik Olsson), and Nude on Sand a duo project with singer Jenny Hval. Volden has also been performing and recording with Jenny Hval's bands since 2008."
