Artist Biographies

Norwegian multi-instrumentalist, composer, and electronics artist Jon Wesseltoft is based in Oslo, working equally with acoustic sources and electronics. Active for over 20 years in noise, electro-acoustics, improvisation, and experimental sound, he performs solo and in collaborations, including the harsh noise project Maranata and the long-form duo Tongues of Mount Meru with Lasse Marhaug. He has also been involved in groups such as Beta Minus Boogie Fat, Cock of Corpse, The Deathtrip, Thorns, and Thorns Ltd.

Born in Lakewood in the US, Martín Escalante is a photographer, film maker and self taught musician. In 2012 he founded Sploosh Records, publishing various solo and collaborative works. Escalante is associated with Lasse Marhaug's Best Studio in Oslo, where he recorded the soundtrack for his brother Amat Escalante's film The Untamed.
