The quirky acoustic trio of German improvisers Udo Schindler on clarinet, saxophone, cornet, and Euphonium, Johannes Ollinger on acoustic guitar and toys, and Dine Doneff on double bass, waterphone, and toys, the odd instrumentation adding surprising textures and disorienting angles to really fine dialog, technically, melodically, and eccentrically.

Two preformances are captured, one at Pollat Pavillon in Munich, Germany in 2015, the other from Schindler's own Salon fur Klang+Kunst, in Krailling, Germany for their 70th presentation in 2017. Waterways and the elements factor into the conceptual interplay, Doneff's waterphone the most explicit reference, but all three players give a sense of fluid transport in their playing, alongside odd rambling and textural approaches. Schindler and Ollinger are often in the foreground, their playing technically superb, but also clearly accessible despite their unusual approaches. A really unique and wonderful album.
