Descriptions, Reviews, &c.

"Great Architect was formed in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2009, as an improvising group intent on exploring the fringes of all musics with an urgency and focus reflective of the modern condition. Originally a quartet, the lineup expanded to a sextet in early 2010.

Gradually, an emphasis on composition and structure came to the fore and Great Architect began turning out loose-limbed tunes that deal with a wide variety of topics: high-school fistfights overseen by teachers, slain South American revolutionaries, mendacity, pagan mythologies, the beautiful violence of calligraphy, kale, the Fantastic Four, and Amelia Earhart, among others....

Great Architect continues to be committed to experimentation. They have appeared in a 'Death Star' configuration - a 20-person group, largely guitarists, augmenting the core band - playing re-imagined versions of their music. In November of 2010, they performed their original score for The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1922), the earliest animated feature film, at Charlotte's Neighborhood Theatre."-Great Architect website

Moenda:

13 years ago a mysterious meteorite landed in the ruins of Peru. Bursting forth were 4 brave prophets bent on auditory inflammation. On their trip to the Queen City they made a stop for low frequencies and weapons of acoustic annihilation. Once arriving they took to holding congregations of polyrhythm and myrrh. Combining a lust for film, literature, botany and bangers they hope to melt the tiny brittle bones of the human ear. Come go deaf with them."-Kinnikinnik Records
