Recorded partly outdoors along Stony Kill Creek in Wawarsing and partly in a studio in Mt Tremper, Studio, Creek traces a fluid line between environment and enclosure, pairing Naomi Juniper's acoustic guitar, voice and resonant glass jar with Evan Lindorff-Ellery's electric guitar, piano and activated materials — rocks, charcoal and assorted objects.

The creek recordings introduce a porous, breathing atmosphere: water movement, air and distance subtly inflect Juniper's vocal presence and the woody immediacy of her guitar. In the studio sessions, the palette shifts toward closer scrutiny — amplified textures, scraped surfaces and prepared gestures that foreground friction and detail. Lindorff-Ellery's use of rocks and charcoal suggests a sculptural, contact-based approach to sound, while Juniper's voice moves between song-fragments, sustained tones and elemental utterance.

Rather than contrasting "nature" and "studio," the duo allow both spaces to inform a shared language of tactile resonance and spatial listening. The result is intimate but unsettled — music that feels discovered rather than arranged, balancing folk-inflected fragility with textural abrasion.
