Thanos Chrysakis' output consists of composition, performance, and installation. He was born in Athens in 1971, residing for the last eleven years in the UK. His work has appeared on various independent labels, and events in several countries. He composes for electronics, acoustic instruments and environmental sounds, focusing on the structural and aesthetic capacity of sonic matter. His work was amongst the selected works at the International Competition de Musique et d'Art Sonore Electroacoustiques de Bourges 2005, in the category œuvre d'art sonore électroacoustique, while received an honorary mention in 2006 at the 7th International Electroacoustic Competition Musica Viva in Lisbon. Recent compositions include: Subterranean Sky (Aural Terrains 2010), A Scar In The Air (Aural Terrains 2008), "Passage Dangereux" for prepared and toy piano, soundscape + video (for Kate Ryder, 2008). In addition to his compositional activities he has recorded/performed with Dario Bernal-Villegas, Wade Matthews, Oli Mayne, James O'Sullivan, Jerry Wigens, Zsolt Sőrés, Sebastian Lexer, Phillip Somervell, among others."-Aural Terrains

"Thanos Chrysakis' output consists of composition, performance, and installation. He was born in Athens in 1971. After residing in the UK between 1998-2014 he moved in 2015 to Belarus. His formal training encompasses percussion (Dimitris Tzafestas), Sonic Arts (Hugh Davies) at the Lansdown Centre for Electronic Arts and a PhD in composition from Goldsmiths, University of London (EMS/Michael Young) as well as private studies in orchestration with Dmitri Smirnov. However it is the yearning of the creative praxis itself that transmitted the crucial aspect of artistic practice: that something has to be staked, that something must be ventured.

His work was amongst the selected works at the 32nd International Competition de Musique et d'Art Sonore Electroacoustiques de Bourges 2005, in the category œuvre d'art sonore électroacoustique, while received an honorary mention in 2006 at the 7th International Electroacoustic Composition Competition Musica Viva in Lisbon (the jury was constituted by Morton Subotnick (USA), François Bayle (France), and Miguel Azguime (Portugal).

He has held residencies at the Visby Centre for Composers (twice) and at the Artus Contemporary Arts Studio in Budapest. His work has been supported by PRS for Music Foundation and the Swedish Art Council.

"Alexander Bruck is a violist, violinist and improviser based in Mexico City. A longtime member of the Mexican National Symphony Orchestra, he studied in Mexico and in Paris with Garth Knox. He has been a freelance musician for the last four years, and as such he is involved in a wide spectrum of new music.

Bruck is a founder and artistic director of Liminar, a teacher at the National Center for the Arts in Mexico City and curator of the tonalÁtonal series at the Goethe Institut in Mexico City."
