Artist Biographies

"Martin Tervoort is a versatile musician, playing soprano saxophone, tenor saxophone and bass clarinet in the borderline between jazz, improvised and modern music. But he also plays rock, blues, funk, soul and world music.

You can read more about the different formations in which Tervoort is active musically. He currently plays with Hardmoed Grefe (bass) in "Triptet 2", and in "Triptet 4" with Hardmoed Grefe (bass), Erik Karsemeijer (percussion) and Henk Zwerver (guitar). He also forms the "Duo Pogen" together with Erik Karsemeijer. Finally he plays in "Voort (4)", a jazz quartet with Bert Kleijn (drums), Fons Sluijter (cello) and Steve Bradshaw (violin)."
