Performing in concert at Iklectik in London in 2017, the UK and Norwegian free improvising trio of Pat Thomas on Moog Theremini & IPad based electronics, John Butcher on saxophones, and Stale Liavik Solberg on drums & percussion impress through a mix of masterful free playing and eclectic electroacoustic conversations, an adventurous and wonderfully unpredictable set.

The duo of improvisers Lina Tullgren on violin and Japanese koto player based in Boston Alec Toku Whiting, joined on one track by Ted Reichman on synthesizer & pedals, Reichman also recording these studio sessions, as the duo apply unsual techniques with an ear toward sonic assault and unexpected twists & turns, particularly some especially aggressive interaction on "Polly Chainsaw".

Brooklyn saxophonist Sam Weinberg (W-2, Maestro Day) leads and composes half of the pieces for a trio with bassist Chris Lightcap and Tom Rainey, the other half collective interplay from three masterful players with a strong creative impulse and a subtle sense of humor, clearly in the jazz tradition but using modern approaches to expression that are delightfully optimistic.
