"Remix/version/deconstruction of the music of a dead trumpet player."-Jumbo

Sinister looping and shimmering works from Mr. Dorgon, taking on the trumpet - or at least, a dead trumpeter - Miles Davis, as seen on the cover photo. The pieces use vinyl sources of records of primarily trumpet music, mutated through ringing effects into a brassy soup of smoothed distortions and feedback. The pieces, with names like "Smack Up", "Cognac Drip" and "40 Ounce Fag Threads" ranging from trance-inducing music that might be listened to by the dead, or eccentric vinyl scratching over stretched and jarring horn-scapes. An assemblage of oddly diverse and definitely odd pieces, an unusual homage to a cool dead player.
