This mercurial and impressive 2021 Victoriaville Festival concert brought together improvisers from three duos as a quartet: guitarist Rene Lussier, who has a long running duo with turntablist Martin Tetreault; Erick d'Orion on computer and electronics, who also has a experimental sound duo with Tetrault; and frequently collaborator with Lussier, drummer Robbie Kuster.

"Did you know that 2 + 2 + 2 = 4? Because what we have here are three duos, for a total of four musicians brought together for a collective improvisation event organized especially for this unusual edition of FIMAV.
Do we really need to introduce RENÉ LUSSIER? At his last performance in Victoriaville, the guitarist presented his fantastic Quintette, in which drummer ROBBIE KUSTER plays. However, over twenty years ago he developed an ear-popping noise-based duo with MARTIN TÉTREAULT that carried on for a few years and produced some stunning records.
KUSTER, who has been working with LUSSIER in several projects lately, is best known as the long-standing drummer in Patrick Watson's band. However, KUSTER has also worked with Yannick Rieu, Philippe Lauzier and Marianne Trudel.
For a while now, TÉTREAULT-the king of the detoured turntable-has been fine-tuning a high-calibre noise duo with quirky electronics master ÉRICK d'ORION (who is or has been a member of Napalm Jazz, morceaux_de_machines, and BOLD). They already have two albums to their credit.
Four seasoned improvisers, each an iconoclast in his own way, promising unpredictable results that we cannot wait to hear!"
