"On a Thursday night in 2019 @domicil Dortmund The Dorf played 2 long sets with a total number of 35 musicians on stage - the central reason for this was the presence of drone-master Phill Niblock, who brought "Baobab" - a composition of his, usually lasting 23 minutes which we prolonged to the double. Yes it was an experience unparalleled before at least in the history of our loved orchestra.
The second set featured this huge setting in a different mode - using 3 compositional ideas that were also pretty much linear but used a lot of improvisation by all the members of the group. Still this second set was heavily influenced by Niblock's music so we call the resulting double CD Baobab/Echoes."-The Dorf
