"On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Igor Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring", Quartetski offers a reinterpretation of this monumental work which scandalized Paris in 1913. While staying true to the spirit of the composer, the ensemble uses the composition as a laboratory for sonic experimentation. The result is a new kind of chamber music that mixes traditions, styles and approaches to arrive at a sometimes chaotic, sometimes challenging and always captivating performance. Reuniting five pillar musicians of Montréal's experimental music scene, the project will capture listeners familiar with the original work, and new ears will be just as curious."-Ambiances Magnetiques
