Artist Biographies

"Simone Quatrana began studying the piano at an early age and then attended the Frosinone Conservatory. He has always been reluctant to musical academism, studying as a self-taught until moving to Milan where he had the opportunity to deepen improvisation techniques.

With Diverse Formazioni he performed in Italy and Europe, making himself known above all in the radical improvisation environment playing with Peter Brotzmann, Mikolaj Trzaska, Rudy Mahall and Ken Vandermark with whom he recorded two albums and played on a European tour."
