"While Leandre is well established in the world of free improvisation, her countryman Cappozzo comes from a more strictly jazz background. At the age of 30 he shared a stage with Dizzy Gillespie, one of the undisputed greats on the instrument, a few years later he earned the State Diploma of Professor of Jazz and was a member of ARFI for ten years. More recently he has worked the further edges of improv with Paul Lovens, Herb Robertson and Axel Dorner, and is currently a member of Globe Unity Orchestra.

Leandre and Cappozzo's duet at Instants Chavires wasn't the first time they played together, but something both intelligent and intimate is caught here.
