"Guitarist/improvisor Barry Chabala, born of the New Jersey bar scene, is influenced as much by classic rock as he is by modern classical, free improvisation and experimental music. Barry has presented lectures on graphic scores & improvisation for Bowerbird of Philadelphia, performed numerous compositions from the Wandelweiser collective throughout the United States, and has recorded for labels including Confront, Gravity Wave, Another Timbre, Erstwhile and his own imprint Roeba Records."

"Born Cambridge, England, in January 1980; played bass guitar since 1994; studied with Hugh Boyd and Pascha Milner and at Basstech (London) with Rob Burns, Terry Gregory and others. Played double bass since 2001; basically self taught, with grateful thanks to Simon H. Fell. First class BA in English Literature from Oxford University (2002). Received MA Composition from Oxford Brookes University in 2003, having studied with Paul Whitty, Ray Lee and others. Received PhD from Brunel University in 2010, having studied the work of Derek Bailey, Helmut Lachenmann and JH Prynne and been supervised by Richard Barrett and John Croft."

Ben Owen works with sound using various approaches including improvisation, recording, listening, and composition. His instruments are simple electronics - played, mixed, re-patched in their own trajectory of small sound, broken and accidental. Over the past few years he has been interested in presenting works, performing and recording in outdoor spaces. His focus is in the sustained, immersive, minimal soundscapes that interact within a defined space as well as an outside environment.
