Recorded a few days after the Ictus duo album Clangs of percussionist and label leader Andrea Centazzo and soprano saxophonist Steve Lacy, this 1977 release presents the joyfully sophisticated 1976 concert in Udine, Italy of the percussionist & saxophonist joined in a trio with double bassist Kent Carter, performing 5 improvisations including the 3-part "Tao" series.

Originally released in 1977 during an extremely creative period for both UK free improvising guitarist Derek Bailey and Italian percussionist Andrea Centazzo, this 3rd album on the Ictus label finds both players defining each of these extraordinary improvisations through instrumental timbres, dynamics and metronome speeds chosen to suit each piece.

Reissuing the first release on the Ictus Records label run by percussionist Andrea Centazzo, this 1976 album was the culmination of two weeks of touring through Italy with saxophonist Steve Lacy, presented as a set of improvised free duets investigating timbral relationships, the fragmentation of melody, and abrasive, provocative noise.
