"One of only a handful of drummers equally well known for his work as a composer, Brooklyn-based Harris Eisenstadt (b. Toronto, 1975) is among the most individual and prolific musicians of his generation. His resume includes studies with some of the most respected names in jazz and improvised music, West African and Afro-Cuban drumming, and performance credits in jazz, film, theater, poetry, dance, contemporary concert music and opera.

Eisenstadt has performed all over the globe, received grants from organizations such as Meet The Composer, American Composers Forum, Canada Council for the Arts, and appeared on more than 60 recordings since 2000, including twenty as a leader. Recordings of his compositions often appear on the Songlines, Clean Feed, No Business, and 482 Music labels, and are consistently included on critics' best-of lists. Recent honors: Rising Star Percussion Percussion, Arranger, and Composer categories of the Downbeat international critics poll; Best Album, Drummer, Composer categories of the El Intruso international critics poll.

His first work for orchestra, Palimpsest, was premiered by the American Composers Orchestra, as part of the Jazz Composers Orchestra Institute at Miller Theater, Columbia University (2011). Eisenstadt's second orchestral work, Four Songs, commissioned by the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra, was premiered at the Brooklyn Museum (2013). His first string quartet, Whatever Will Happen, That Will Also Be, was premiered as part of Eisenstadt's twelve-set residency at The Stone in NYC (2015). As a writer and radio producer, he has contributed to National Public Radio and AfroPop Worldwide. Eisenstadt is also an active AfroCuban batá drummer in New York and a longtime researcher in African and diaspora vernacular traditions. He has travelled to West Africa twice (Gambia, Senegal) to research Mandinka and Wolof music, and to Cuba twice (Matanzas, Havana) to research Afro-Cuban music."

Her chamber music activities include appearances at the Bang on a Can Marathon in NYC, the Lucerne Festival with Pierre Boulez, the Ensemble Modern Festival, "June in Buffalo" and the Ojai Festival with Steve Reich. Olivia is a member of the new music ensembles Signal directed by Brad Lubman and Victoire founded by composer Missy Mazzoli. Olivia has closely collaborated with composers such as Sir Harrison Birtwistle, Pierre Boulez, Chaya Czernowin, Peter Eötvös, Michael Gordon, Helmut Lachenman, David Lang, Meredith Monk, Steve Reich, Todd Reynolds, Ned Rothenberg, Julia Wolfe, and Evan Ziporyn. Olivia studied at the University of Music and Arts in Vienna and received her B.M. from the Eastman School of Music. She graduated with her M.M in Contemporary Performance from the Manhattan School of Music."

Josh performed internationally with the Mivos Quartet for 8 years, a vital new-music string quartet that he co-founded in 2008.

Josh has collaborated closely on new work with composers including Kate Soper, Alex Mincek, Eric Wubbels, Andrew Greenwald and Rick Burkhardt, and worked with major figures including Kaija Saariaho, Mathias Spahlinger, Helmut Lachenmann, George Lewis, Christian Wolff, and Peter Ablinger.

As an improviser, Josh has performed with artists including Sam Pluta, Nate Wooley and Patrick Higgins (ZS), among others, and recently recorded "Engage", his debut album of original music for solo violin. Josh has a passion for large-scale performance projects, and has presented evening-length chamber works including Mathias Spahlinger's "extension", for violin and piano (with Wet Ink's Eric Wubbels) and Wolfgang Rihm's "Musik für Drei Streicher" (with ICE), as well as adventurous interpretations of J.S. Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin informed by his work with Just Intonation.

Josh has recorded for Carrier Records, Deutsche Grammophon, Sound American Publications, hat[now]ART, Nonesuch, Ex Cathedra, and Tzadik Records. He holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music (M.M. in contemporary performance) and Ithaca College."

"Victor Lowrie is a versatile violist and composer living in New York City. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician with groups including Signal, Wordless Music Orchestra, Either/Or, Kavak Trio and Argento Chamber Ensemble. Victor's compositions include an awardwinning trio a landscape (viola, bassoon, piano), Runaway (viola & electronics), Question (for Kavak Trio) and an upcoming string quartet to be premiered by MIVOS in 2011. He can be heard on recordings from New Amsterdam, Kill Rock Stars, Quiet Design, Sunnyside and Tzadik Records. As an educator, Victor has given masterclasses and guest lectures at Brooklyn College and the EAFIT University in Medellín, Colombia. Victor grew up on the idyllic central coast of California and received his Bachelor's degree from San Francisco State University. He earned his Master's degree in Contemporary Viola Performance from the Manhattan School of Music."

Mariel's premeire solo album, nonextraneous sounds, was released on Innova Records in September 2012. The record, consisting of brand new works commisioned by Mariel, received high accolades from sources such as TimeOut NY, TimeOut Chicago, The American Composers Forum, New Sounds with John Schaefer, and WQXR radio."
