"Jørgen Mathisen (born 27 December 1984 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (saxophone and clarinet), the younger brother of Martin Mathisen (b. 1978), and known from different bands, and a series of recordings with musician like Marc Lohr, Per Zanussi, Steinar Raknes, Eirik Hegdal, Gard Nilssen, and Kjetil Møster.Career

Mathisen is a graduate of the Jazz program at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium (2004-08). He is distinguished by his powerful, expressive play and is a force for all the bands he is involved with. He was first noted in the band Shagma in 2004, and also play within The Core together with Steinar Raknes, Espen Aalberg and Erlend Slettevoll, and within Zanussi Five including Eirik Hegdal, Kjetil Møster and Gard Nilssen, among others."

"Erlend Slettevoll is a pianist, keyboardist, arranger and composer who works before a wide range of musical expressions. He has a degree in jazz from the Department of Music, NTNU, Trondheim, where he studied under Vigleik Storaas. He has been in Oslo since 2006 and is working as a full-time musician.

He first became known for his energetic style of playing in projects like The Core and Petter Wettre Quartet. In addition he works with projects / musicians like Mathias Eick, Arild Andersen, Karin Krog, Magnus Broo, Jonas Kullhammar, Torbjörn Zetterberg, Django Bates, Bjørn Vidar Solli, Georg Riedel and Juini Booth."

"Trygve Waldemar Fiske (born 15 February 1987 in Frei, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (upright bass), known from different Norwegian jazz bands and recordings.

Fiske was educated on the jazz program at Trondheim Musikkonsevatorium, and the Norwegian Academy of Music. He played in Heidi Skjerve Quartet Vegen �t Deg (2012) and Hanna Paulsberg Concept Waltz For Lilli (2012). After receiving the Shell Oil Company's Jazz Scholarship in 2013, Fiske started up his own quartet, Waldemar 4. They have offered performances at Norwegian jazz festivals like Moldejazz and the Kongsberg Jazz Festival, and released their self-titled debut album in 2015."

"Dag Erik Knedal Andersen (born 5th of November 1983) is an award winning Norwegian drummer and improviser based in Oslo.

Knedal Andersen had originally planned to become an engineer, but at the age of 16 he discovered the dubious joy of jazz and improvised music, and hence there were no turning back. After buying all the records he could lay his hands on at that time, he soon found himself studying jazz at the Conservatory of Music in Trondheim. After his graduation in 2008, he moved to Berlin for a brief period of time, before moving to Oslo to do a masters degree in improvised music at the Norwegian State Academy of Music.

Perhaps best known for his "hyperactive-take-no-prisoners" approach to drumming, he has been an ubiquitous musician on the Norwegian improvised music scene over the last couple of years, as well as touring all over Europe with groups such as SAKA and AKODE. In 2010 he received the Molde International Jazz Festival's "Talent of the year" award. In addition to his regular groups, he has performed with among others Axel Dörner, Alan Wilkinson, John Butcher, Thomas Lehn, Frode Gjerstad, Fredrik Ljungkvist, Pat Thomas, Jørgen Mathisen, Akira Sakata, Tobias Delius, Alex Ward, Dominic Lash, Rudi Mahall, Lasse Marhaug, Martin Küchen, Birgit Ulher, Maja Ratkje, John Edwards, Kjetil Møster and Ingebrigt Håker Flaten."
