During multi-reedist Frode Gjerstad's tour of South America in 2015 he met with pianist Fabiana Galante and fellow reedist Luis Conde to record these excellent improvisations, all three using unusual and extended techniques to create these 8 captivating dialogs.

Fabiana Galante is a pianist and composer from Buenos Aires. She was invited to work in Huntly for two months as part of the Halloween contemporary art festival in 2005. During this time she worked on new pieces for violin and piano with fiddle virtuoso Paul Anderson, and made a series of new contemporary music compositions with the Huntly pipe band.
Luis Conde is an expert on popular music and contemporary improvisation / teaching and research, as well as performer, composer, performer. He was born in 1965 in Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has studied saxophone with Victor Skorupski (ARG) attended clinics Ralph Lalama, Jim Odgren (Berklee College) and Villafruela Miguel (CUB). Masters in Clarinet with Eduardo Prado (National Symphony Orchestra), Martin Moore (Banda Sinf—nica CABA), and with Alain Damiens Masterclasses (FRA, Ensemble Intercontemporain). He has also studied the shakuhachi (traditional Japanese wind instrument) with the Horacio Curti. Contemporary composition studies with Maestro Ernesto Conrado. Close collaborations with international musicians in Argentina and abroad, citing Axel Dorner, John Russell, Nabicht Theo, Jacques Demierre, &c.
