"ZED is not for little delicate ears nor narrow minded people... Between Punk energy and wild improvised music ZED is a fuckin' high density sound surge. Frédéric Vaudaux Frédéric begins playing music in 1980 and studies the drum kit in the Contemporary Musical Center of Nice where he obtains two first prizes. After various experiments in regional bands he dashes into the composition, investigates and looks for the musical energy in various projects: associating performances dance and improvised music, work with video directors, sound poetry, sound painting, musics of illustration... Today, his technique and the richness of his playing allow him a contrasted, surprising freedom of expression, going from the most minimal to the most talkative. His inspiration takes its source in the instant, it can be light, airfull, creating more tribal, violent but also subtle atmospheres, letting appear from a sound continuum some fragmented barbaric rhythms... David Lataillade David studied guitar, harmony and composition at the conservatory, alongside he discovered Hendrix, Frith, Mingus and Coltrane ... and traditional music and improvisation; playing the electric bass in rock and hardcore bands then electric guitar, tape recorder and analog synthesizers within the "polytropes" collective. In 1999 he traveled to Japan for a series of concerts and meetings with traditional musicians and improvisers. In 2000 and 2001 he was invited to residencies and concerts around the sound poetry, performance and electronic and improvised music at the intercultural festival in Mostar in Bosnia. From 2000 to 2006 worked at GMEA (national center for musical creation) as a studio assistant. Compose music for "Company X" (contemporary dance and video) for creations in France and Mexico. In 2007 obtained a state order from GMEA: "metamorphosis" for 8 guitars and electro acoustic. Currently works for the theater company "La Clique" as guitarist and composer experimenting with many meetings and sound universe both acoustic and electric. Heddy Boubaker Born in 1963, Heddy started music by playing electric guitar in Rock bands as a teenager, since long time passed and he played many other musical styles and then progressively switched to the alto and bass saxophone. His main musical activities are now centered on improvised music and sound research; in solo or with others musicians, poets, dancers ... he is really fond of musical meetings. He played on many international places with a lot of partners. He published many CDs and is very active in concerts organisation in the Toulouse area.
