Lawrence Casserley is a pioneer of real time electroacoustic music, since the 60s working with other musicians in free improvisation, particularly known for his duo with Evan Parker that has recorded and performed frequently, and as a member of the Evan Parker Electro-Acoustic Ensemble. He developed his Signal Processing Instrument to use physical gestures to process and morph incoming sounds in real time. On Anemoi he uses that instrument to modify the improvised voice of British vocalist, sound artist and composer and certified Deep Listening teacher Viv Corringham. The result is in an ethereal mix of vocal call and response, creating a spectrum of unexpected sound and response to Corringham's unique utterance and song, and album of futuristic and sophisticated sound.
