"If you're into the avant-punk scene and a fan of improvisation and diversity, prepare all your flabbers to be ghasted. Balloons on Grass is the debut release you will be playing on repeat for the next month, thanks to powerhouse multi-instrumentalist Tony Orzano, rising guitarist Bryan Rohmer, and drum ninja Jeremy Wexler. When 577 Records first heard the fresh energy in this revolutionary work, signing a deal with the artists behind it was a no-brainer.

"Some of us have been involved with noise for decades, and this is probably one of the best mixes of noise with free improv we've heard in a while!" the label says.

Balloons on Grass brings the avant-punk boost we didn't know we needed. What's wild about it is that the trio booked the studio time with no game plan and no rehearsals. Just Tony Orzano on the clarinet and alto sax, experimental sound collagist Bryan Rohmer on the guitar, composer/percussionist Jeremy Wexler bringing the beats, and their collaborative creativity at the helm. And this was the result! They say it is "an unchained, immersive listening experience that defies genre", a "tour-de-force improvisational journey". In other words, a must-hear, dopamine-blasting, nine-track masterpiece.

Orzano, Rohmer, and Wexler first met each other in 2023 while playing at various Long Island venues, but this album marks their first recording session together. It's giving post-rock, noise, and unbridled improvisation. Ballons on the Grass drops August 8th, and you will kick yourself if you aren't one of the 50 people who get to own it on a first-edition CD. Digital download will also be available for your convenience."-577 Records
