Schubert, Frank Paul / Rudi Fischerlehner: Willing Suspension of Disbelief (Not Applicable)

"After years of playing together in different duo and band situations and many hours spent with a common habit of discussing music and books, Frank Paul Schubert and Rudi Fischerlehner decided to record some free improvisations in their shared studio in Berlin. Willing Suspension of Disbelief is the outcome of that effort. All the music on the album was recorded in one afternoon, and it is also all the music recorded that afternoon, in the order it was played, unedited."-Not Applicable

"Consequently, Fischerlehner and Schubert elevated the crowd into new depths of experimental sounds. Fischerlehner really goes out of his way with his diverse usage of props on drums such as: old turntables, Chinese cymbals (traditionally used in the Beijing opera) all the way to Brazilian caxixis, shakers and so forth. These spunk improvised sounds made way to an awe-inspiring smooth attack and release by Schubert. It was a real treat to see this duo considering that it is only at special times now when they perform together. I highly recommend you listening to each of their own eclectic projects and what better yet than to presence them live."-Erica Smith, jazzclubsinberlin
