Descriptions, Reviews, &c.

Side A
Amalgamated
Amalgamated is a 4-5 person collaborative venture, the recipe for which tends mostly to be live-recorded group-improvised long-form improvisation and later editing and post-processing of the recorded material (done mostly by D. Petri). The group's members come from 5 different projects: Homogenized Terrestrials (Phillip Klampe), Headless Ballerinas Underwater (Bob Newell), Gushing Cloud (Cory Bengtsen), Rebekah's Tape (Mike Richards & Cory Bengtsen), and Dog Hallucination (D. Petri). These different inflections fuse to form an electronics-centric palette of textures, tonalities, and rhythms which differ greatly from session to session while retaining a distinct personality.
