The Swedish trio of Jonas Kullhammar on sax, Torbjorn Zetterberg on bass and Daniel Fredriksson drums live at Glenn Miller Cafe in 2007 in a mix of originals and standards.
Live at Glenn Miller Café
Released in: Sweden
This well-known and active Swedish trio is headed by young giant Jonas Kullhammar on tenor and baritone sax. The recording is taken from two nights of their live engagement at Glenn Miller Cafe, Stockholm Sweden in August, 2007. Over five extended tracks the trio improvise freely over the standard "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes", two Monk pieces and one each from Kullhammar and drummer Daniel Fredriksson. The interplay is charged, driving and passionate, with strong grooves and counterpoint, keeping a seriously strong pulse. A great performance from a young and first-rate group.
