"In 1998, Marie-Noël Rio produces Sainte Jeanne des Abattoirs (inspired by Kurt Weill opera) at l'Atelier du Rhin in Colmar with 16 actors-singers, an original music written by Tom Cora and improvised music from himself, Zeena Parkins, Luc Ex and Michael Vatcher.At the same time, the four musicians have the idea to create Madame Luckerniddle, a band inspired by a personnage of the opera. The first concert is played in Colmar, another one should be done at the Musique Action festival in Vandoeuvre. Tom Cora died a short time before.
Musique Action #4 is the CD recording of the concert who took place on saturday 23 of may 1998 (Musique Action Festival) in tribute to the cellist, with Christian Marclay, Otomo Yoshihide, Zeena Parkins, Michael Vatcher, Catherine Jauniaux, Phil Minton and Veryan Weston.
