Descriptions, Reviews, &c.

+DOG+, a long-standing experimental noise ensemble formed in Osaka and now rooted in Sudbury, MA, continue their deep sonic investigations on Peace, released May 21, 2024 on Love Earth Music. Recorded between 2023-2024 across Sudbury MA, Los Angeles CA, and Providence RI, the album captures the quartet's signature blend of live electronics and textural abstraction.

Spanning eighteen tracks — including "How To Tie My Shoes," "Willis Lake 2," "Stearns Mill Pond," and a bonus piece titled "Benefit"-Peace traverses intimate field recordings and pulsating electronic gestures. Opening with sector-like lo-fi ambience, it moves through minimalist interludes, melodic fragments, and abstract noise sculptures. The live bonus track "Benefit" offers a near‑ten‑minute immersion in the band's evolving collective interplay.

Featuring Steve Davis (electronics) alongside Lob Instagon and three additional +DOG+ members (Edward, Mackenzie, Chuck, Bobby, Jack), Peace continues the group's legacy of exploratory improvisation and lo-fi electroacoustic collage.
