Artist Biographies

"Risa Takeda (武田理沙) Born Iwamizawa, Hokkaido, Japan. She started playing classical piano at age 3. She was active as drummer while at University. She Moved to Tokyo in April 2011 and participated in numerous blues, jazz and improvisation jams. Performed in John Zorn's COBRA in July 2014. While with various bands, began solo performances in 2016. Improvisations, compositions with visuals and piano arrangements of Frank Zappa's material have brought worldwide recognition."
