• Show Bio for Dusica Cajlan-Wissel "Dusica Cajlan-Wissel was born in Zemun (in former Yugoslavia). She studied Piano with Marian Mika at music academy in Podgorica (Montenegro). After her concert exam 1991 she post graduated her piano studies with Günter Ludwig at Musikhochschule Köln (Germany). She upgraded her studies taking part at master classes with J. Richter, A. Valdma, L. Hokanson, P.L. Aimard , A. Ugorski a.o. 1993 she achieved a studentship of the German DAAD. Dusica Cajlan-Wissel started her concert career in 1986, playing solo andchamber music. Since 1996 she turned more to contemporary music. She is cofounder of Trio Musai, whose repertoire places a strong emphasis on commissioned pieces beside the works of the classical modernity. 2013 had a concert tour "Sound Migrations" to the US, where they premiered a program of works from Baltimore Composers Forum, written for Trio Musaí. Since some years Improvised music gets more into her focus, what she showed 2012 in an impressive concert at Irtijal festival in Beirut. Since 2012 Dusica Cajlan-Wissel maintains also an Improvised music duo with violinist Gunda Gottschalk. His main focus is improvisation with ongoing collaborations including the trio OGU, and STØY, in which he is exploring all the possibilities of music, playing a snaredrum and a cymbal with all kinds of sticks, toys, bells and bows. His interest in various forms of exploratory music gave him an opportunity to work with artists as, as well as the opportunity to work with artists such as Claudio Puntin, Philip Zoubek, Sebastian Gramss, Matthias Schrief, Shelley Hirsch, Carl Ludwig Hübsch, Eivind Aarset, Florian Weber, Simon Nabatov, Ernst Reijseger (CN), Tom Arthurs, Robert Landfermann, Bram Stadhouders, Jeroen van Vliet, Udo Moll, Sebastian Duboc, Simin Tander, Frank Wingold, Frederik Köster and Matthias Muche.
