Charles Hayward

Charles Hayward

Drummer, singer, conceptualist and composer Charles Hayward has a long and illustrious career spanning progressive rock, Industrial, heavy fusion, minimalism, and the current British LMC/experimental and avante garde scenes. Over more than 30 years he's played and recorded solo and with bands like Quiet Sun, This Heat, The Camberwell Now and the later incarnation of Massacre, Keep the Dog, among countless others (documented at our own ReR & Related Website. His propulsive energy, intense concentration, and considerately sardonic outlook on life come through in his songs and playing, a true iconoclast devoted to music and humanity.

Much of Hayward's releases are out of print or very difficult to find, but we've assembled a set of releases currently available, and are actively seeking to expand his category. For the novice start with the ?Escape from Europe" series, and the Massacre albums. We hope to be stocking This Heat and Camberwell now in the near future (12/2002).
