"Sulynn Hago (they/them) is a Brooklyn-based guitarist, composer, instructor, and improviser whose playing spans from metal and punk bands to classical and jazz guitar. Hago's performances include DIY tours around the country to international shows and festivals. An eclectic and adaptable guitarist, Hago seeks the challenge of playing, improvising and writing guitar in as many styles and settings as possible, preferably on a classical guitar or an electric guitar rigged through a chain of effect pedals.

Within the music scene in Tampa where they grew up, Hago's performance and writing experience started in punk bands, such as Ink and Sweat, New Bruises, Feral Babies, and Career. In 2012, their band Feral Babies received Creative Loafing's Best of the Bay Awards for "Best Local Punk Act" and "Best Local Metal/Hardcore" while their other projects received numerous accolades for their recordings and performances.

In 2015 Hago was picked among 400 applicants as touring guitarist for Canadian punk/metal band Propagandhi. For this accomplishment, in 2016 Hago received the "Best Embedded Local" award from Creative Loafing. In 2018, Career was awarded "Best Album Release Show" for their single 30-minute song release of Structures which Razorcake magazine responded with positive reviews: "This band from Tampa is clearly brimming with folks who know about music, not just its history but its structure. It's interesting to listen to; it's surprising. It's dissonant and surprising and when the vocals do appear, they are exactly what you've come to expect from Florida-gruff, urgent, and strained. You fucking listen to this record; it doesn't play in the background."

Hago has been playing guitar for 22 years and has made it a lifelong hobby to be instructed by as many instructors as possible, even if just for one session. Some of the instructors who Hago worked with the longest include classical guitarist Thomas Coffey, jazz guitarist LaRue Nickelson, jazz guitarist Peter Mongaya, and jazz guitarist Kenny Wessel. Although most of Hago's performance experience has been in punk and rock bands, Hago is proficient in classical, jazz, music theory, and improvisation, having studied them for over a decade. Along with expanding their knowledge through private instruction, Hago has consistently grown on the instrument through jamming and/or collaborating with hundreds of different musicians, continuously figuring songs out by ear, working through music theory guitar books, and teaching themself how to read music.

A guitar instructor since 2009, Hago has taught hundreds of guitar students of all ages, levels and styles. They began teaching at Bigel Music (2009-2014) until they left to begin their own teaching business Tampa Guitar School in 2014. Although no longer under this name, Hago continues to run their private teaching business which solely offers private online instruction. Hago specializes in the development of shred technique, songwriting, creative concepts, performance preparation, and music theory studies. In 2020, Hago joined the roster of guitar instructors on jazz guitarist Julian Lage's teaching platform Guitar.Study where they teach online masterclasses. They also began a Propagandhi Guitar Masterclass Series where they gave detailed instruction and technical breakdowns on how to play Propagandhi tunes in their entirety.

In 2018 Hago left their longtime home in Tampa, Florida and moved to Brooklyn, New York. Currently, Hago continues to tour with Propagandhi and performs around New York with the Chris Cochrane trio."

Dougie Bowne: guitar. "I'm a musician/composer/producer. "Wendy Eisenberg is an improvising guitarist, banjo-player, vocalist and poet. Using the languages of free jazz, new music, extreme metal and art song, her music sets to pose and expose the questions surrounding the human body in the world and the representational and technical demands placed on it in artistic practice.

She has written and performed in numerous projects, including the critically acclaimed experimental band, Birthing Hips, described by NPR as "brainy, noisy punk based in sonic adventure, technical mastery, and rejection of the status quo." Her work as an improviser has led to collaborations with Ted Reichman, Joe Morris, Damon Smith, John Zorn, Travis LaPlante and Zach Rowden, among many others. Eisenberg has premiered work by John Zorn, Maria Schneider, and Bill Holman, as well as the work of her many peers.

In addition to her work as a collaborative artist, she has two solo careers: improviser/composer, and songwriter. Wendy's debut record as an improviser will come out on the esteemed label VDSQ in 2018. Her "songs" album, Time Machine, released on HEC Tapes in April 2017, will be re-released on Feeding Tube records in the spring, and she is slated to release a new song cycle summer 2018.

Wendy has provided soundtrack work for the scientific projects of MIT Media Lab fellow and scientist-artist Ani Liu. Her poetry has been set into a large scale work by Matt Curlee, premiered at the Eastman School of Music in 2014. Her writings on music can be found in John Zorn's Arcana VIII: Musicians on Music, and on the websites Jazz Right Now and Free Jazz Blog."

"Improviser, film composer and soundscape artist - approached the far sonic edges of what one man and a guitar can create with only sky, a solo recording of almost orchestral atmosphere. This album followed Torn's 2007's acclaimed prezens, a full-band project for ECM (featuring Tim Berne, Craig Taborn & Tom Rainey) that Jazzwise described as "a vibrating collage full of shimmering sonic shapes, a dark, urban electronic soundscape - a potent mix of jazz, free-form rock and technology that is both demanding and rewarding." Many of those same descriptors apply to only sky, with its hovering ambient shadows and vaulting flashes of light, its channelling of deep country/blues memories and Burroughsian dreams of North Africa. Nearly 30 years before the release of only sky came Torn's ECM album Cloud About Mercury, with trumpeter Mark Isham and the latter-day King Crimson rhythm section of Tony Levin and Bill Bruford.

Torn's initial tenure with ECM also included Best Laid Plans, his 1984 release with drummer Geoffrey Gordon; and the guitarist featured on Jan Garbarek's album It's OK to Listen to the Gray Voice. More recently, Torn produced and mixed saxophonist Tim Berne's ECM albums Shadow Man (2013) and You've Been Watching Me (2015). Torn, a native of New York state, has worked across jazz (with the Bad Plus and others), film music (Ryuichi Sakamoto, Carter Burwell) and pop (David Bowie, Jeff Beck, David Sylvian and more)."

"Composer and musicologist Clara Latham's research and creative practice focuses on the relationship between sound, technology, sexuality, and the body. She has published articles in Sound Studies, Women & Music, Contemporary Modern European History, the Opera Quarterly, and the edited volume Sound, Music, Affect: Theorizing Sonic Experience. She is currently working on a monograph that studies the shifts in listening both to musical tones and to the voice that took place alongside the development of sound recording. The book questions the role of sound in different technologies that emerged at the beginning of the twentieth century, exploring the intersections between psychoanalysis, listening, and musical instruments. Latham's opera about the birth of psychoanalysis, Bertha the Mom, was supported by the American Composers Forum and premiered at Roulette Intermedium in 2018. She is currently working on a collaboration with the dance company Ballez on the evening length work Giselle of Lonliness that will premiere at the Joyce in June, 2021. Before joining the faculty at the New School, Clara taught at MIT, Harvard, and Dartmouth. She is currently a fellow in Sound and Music at Akademie Schloss Solitude. She has performed as a vocalist and instrumentalist with many groups including Starring, New Pope, The Fancy, Frankie Rose, and The Gongs."

"Francesca Naibo, guitarist from Vittorio Veneto (Italy) based in Milan, moves fluently across all the different conjugations of the guitar, from the classic, the electric, to the fretless and the pedal steel. Involved in the research for solo performance, she is focused on exploring sound in the divergent yet sonically similar fields of free improvisation, contemporary music and classical repertoire. She's particularly interested in using both the acoustic and the electric nature of her instrument, adventuring from roaring drones till microscopic vibrations.

She studied in Venice, Milan, Bern and Basel graduating in classical guitar and free improvisation, and built collaborations with many European musicians, especially over Central and Northern Europe. She worked with important composers like Helmut Lachenmann and George Lewis and she realized the transcription of the "Exercises in Futility" by and in collaboration with Marc Ribot. In 2020 her first solo album "Namatoulee" was released by Aut Records.Besides her artistic activity, Francesca is a passionate teacher at the middle school "R. Franceschi" in Milan."
