Sparse improv interplay from this trio of Yagihashi Tsukasa on alto sax, Sato Yukie on electric guitar and electro-goods, and Higo Hiroshi on electric bass and "electro." Six tracks of about 10 minutes in length each are presented. Tsuakasa's alto is breathy and reserved, scrambling around over electronic rumbles, clicks and clacks. He is the most prominent player, the others relegated mostly to extraneous sounds and interruptions. Occassionally Sato Yukie takes the lead, but quickly relegates himself to environmental sounds. I found it gentle but unremarkable, an interesting set of jams from a group who clearly are paying attention to each other but aren't pushing anything particularly new. No doubt this is interesting to see live, and the players are skillful at what they're doing, but it left me cool to the results.
