Formed in 1996 by UK cellist Mark Wastell, Confront Records set itself an agenda of documenting well recorded improvised music by musicians that, although very active, deserve wider recognition and exposure - as well as offering material by musicians with higher profiles. There is a policy to record improvisations away from the studio in atmospheres/acoustics that are complimentary to the music. The label features two series, the larger Collectors Series and the more recent Core Series, and has released albums with an incredible set of creative artists including John Butcher, Derek Bailey, Rhodri Davies, Bertrand Denzler, Tetuzi Akiyama, Keith Tippett, David Sylvian, Simon H. Fell, Chris Cundy, Phil Durrant, Andrea Parkins, Axel Dorner, Roger Turner, &c. &c.
This week we're offering our customers 25% off a list of essential titles from the past years. Take a look at these interesting albums, but hurry, because this sale ends Sunday, May 20, 2018 at midnight!
We're never quite caught up with new releases that constantly come in our door, and we don't like to rush a release to our homepage. That said, the following releases have already been stocked at Squidco, and are able to be ordered. In most cases we have images, often have samples, and some basic description of each release.

In stock items only, orders with out of stock items will be held until all items are in stock. Free shipping applies only to "Free Economy Shipping" option on the Shipping & Payment Screen at checkout time. US orders will ship via USPS Media Mail with tracking. 1st Class and other shipping rates are unaffected by this offer.
Squidco has been in business as a mail-order store since 2002. In 2010 we moved to Wilmington, NC, giving regional and visiting customers access to our catalog of more than 7,000 items, which includes hundreds of discounted, used, and promotional items not listed on our website.
