An octet of seasoned Evil Clown improvisers — led by multi-instrumentalist PEK — delivers a sprawling, electrified 70-minute session of free jazz intensity and ceaseless sonic transformation, with constant instrumental shifts and a broad palette of horns, percussion, electronics, and found objects creating a dynamic series of vividly contrasting textural episodes.

A massive 22-member improvising ensemble, the Turbulence Orchestra and Sub-Units are heard live in Vermont, with five dynamic sub-unit performances and a full-orchestra hour-long guided improvisation, blending structured conduction, graphic notation techniques, and a chaotic palette of woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion and even rubber chickens in an intense and unpredictable sonic experience.

Bringing together a powerful 20-member ensemble, Turbulence Orchestra — led by David Peck and featuring Bonnie Kane, John Loggia, Glynis Lomon, and a diverse array of improvisers — unleashes an expansive and dynamic improvisational journey, combining dense textures, radical instrumentation, and structured spontaneity through novel conducting techniques for a set of unique sonic narratives.

One of the largest ensembles in the Boston collective roster, this exotic Turbulence Orchestra set is orchestrated with 4 brass horns--Bob Moores, Eric Dahlman & John Fugarino on trumpets, Duane Reed on double bell euphonium; two winds--David Peck on clarinets, saxophones & flute and Dennis Livingston on flute & recorders-- plus the rhythm section of Scott Samenfeld on bass & Michael Knoblach on drums.

Turbulence projects are orchestrated for multiple horn players drawn from the Leap of Faith Orchestra, here using David Peck's Broad Palate concept to introduce multiple sonorities, in an octet of four trumpeters (Ellwood Epps, Bob Moores, Vance Provey and John Fugarino), one lower brass (Duane Reed) and three reeds (Peck, Michael Caglianone and Jared Holaday).
