The eighth Evil Clown "Shorties" collection gathers 14 compact improvisations drawn from 14 releases by nine ensembles and 28 musicians, offering a concise survey of the label's early-2026 activity as reeds, brass, strings, electronics, bass, percussion and spoken word cycle through rapidly changing configurations that distill Evil Clown's broad-palette approach into brief, sharply contrasting snapshots.

Reduced by winter weather from a planned ten-piece orchestra to a sextet, this Turbulence session brings David Peck, Cliff White, John Fugarino, Eric Dahlman, Scott Samenfeld and Michael Knoblach into a broad-palette improvisation of reeds, brass, electric upright bass, electronics, percussion and invented objects, with Joel Simches' real-time processing shaping a long sequence of shifting sonorities.

Leap of Faith's core duo of David Peck on reeds, electronics, strings, percussion, and invented instruments with Glynis Lomon on cello, aquasonic, voice, and percussion expands to an eight-piece Evil Clown Orchestra with brass, reeds, guitar, bass, drums, electronics, and real-time processing, creating a high-energy improvisation of horn frenzy, dense counterpoint, shifting sonorities, and collective transformation.

Collecting fourteen "Five Minute Shorties" from as many Evil Clown albums recorded between July and December 2025, this seventh volume offers a compact sampler of the label's broad-palette improvisation, presenting twenty musicians across nine modular ensembles in concise works of reeds, brass, strings, electronics, bass, percussion, and emergent form.

Neurodivergent Orchestra's tenth exploration of Evil Clown's absurdist concept expands its improvised spoken interplay into a four-part exchange, setting disaster-movie and pop-culture mayhem amid a sprawling arsenal of reeds, brass, electronics, percussion, strings, synths, toys, real-time processing, and invented textures for an unusually theatrical form of pure improvisation.

Gathering seven horn players, bass, percussion, electronics, with real-time signal processing, David Peck's Turbulence Orchestra delivers a large-ensemble free improv performance balancing dense brass and reed eruptions with richly varied percussion, electronics, and found-sound textures, evolving through steadily transforming sonorities and broad-spectrum collective interplay.

Drawing musicians from across the Northeast, the 30-member Turbulence Orchestra and Sub-Units — directed by PEK — convenes for a sprawling 2-disc session of conducted large-ensemble free improv, first presenting six compact sub-unit improvisations before merging into a sweeping hour-long orchestral performance of shifting instrumentations, graphic cues, and evolving textures.

A lively sampler of Evil Clown's expansive improvisational universe, this collection assembles fourteen concise, high-energy performances drawn from livestream sessions across multiple ensembles, where shifting instrumental combinations, dense textures, and spontaneous interaction distil the label's long-form aesthetic into sharply focused bursts of collective invention.

An eight-piece horn and electronics ensemble featuring David Peck, Hilary Noble, Cliff White, Dennis Livingston, John Fugarino, Bob Moores, Eric Dahlman, and Duane Reed, creating a vividly shifting chamber improvisation where reeds and brass intertwine with auxiliary percussion and electronics, generating dynamic waves of color, density, and resonance in a constantly evolving acoustic spectrum.

Improvised live at Evil Clown HQ in Massachusetts this chamber-sized quartet + live processing version of Leap of Faith spins from airy quietude to dense noise, each multi-instrumentalist shifting timbres and extended techniques through a fluid electro-acoustic soundworld of horns, reeds, percussion, signal processing and inventive instrumental colour.

Conducted by PEK using an expanded system of graphic signs, cue windows and directional frames, this large Turbulence Orchestra realises a continuous narrative of shifting density, guided entrances and exits, and evolving instrumentation, the players responding in real time to PEK's visual triggers to create a vivid, shape-shifting electro-acoustic improvisation.

With PEK and Glynis Lomon joined by John Fugarino, Eric Dahlman, Michael Caglianone, Tor Snyder, Albey onBass, Scott Samenfeld, Cliff White, and Joel Simches, Leap of Faith expands into a richly textured septet where strings and horns form the core dynamic, augmented by percussion, electronics, and processing in an improvisation that evolves through a vast range of sonorities.

Spanning 14 compact improvisations drawn from nine shifting ensembles within the modular Evil Clown collective, this volume distills the creativity of PEK's longform sessions into concise sonic snapshots — each "Shortie" capturing a distinct moment from the various ensembles as a focused sampler of the label's wide-ranging free improvisation ethos.

An octet of seasoned Evil Clown improvisers — led by multi-instrumentalist PEK — delivers a sprawling, electrified 70-minute session of free jazz intensity and ceaseless sonic transformation, with constant instrumental shifts and a broad palette of horns, percussion, electronics, and found objects creating a dynamic series of vividly contrasting textural episodes.
