A large-scale and meticulously deconstructed sonic exploration from Howard Stelzer, weaving layers of manipulated cassette tapes, tape players, and speakers with extensive processing from sonic luminaries Ralf Wehowsky, Brendan Murray, Linda Aubry Bullock, Bruno Duplant, Fani Konstantidou, and Andrew Zukerman — for a dense and unpredictable landscape where textures dissolve and reform in shifting abstractions.

The third album from the collaboration of sound artists Howard Seltzer, who typically works with consumer grade tape players, and Brian Grainger, head of the Milieu Music mailorder label, in an extended work of textural cassette sound, field recordings, drone music and modular synthesis, a journey through rich and well-controlled sound.

Trying to strike a balance between composition and the challenges of being a young parent, Rutger Zuydervelt, aka Machinefabriek, created a series of short tracks that could be developed quickly with invited collaborators, a concept that worked so well that in little time he found 52 enthusiastic and diverse musicians to develop the expanse of this impressive collection.
