Inspired by Georges Perec's Espèces d'espaces, this quartet with Fie Schouten, Vincent Courtois, Sofia Borges, and Pierre Baux merges spoken voice, clarinet, cello, and percussion in a fluid free improv framework, shaping text into a sonic architecture where silence, gesture, and sound interact in a richly textured, theatrical exploration of space and narrative.

Recorded in their first meeting, percussionist Sofia Borges and saxophonist Ada Rave forge a vivid, intuitive dialogue of fire and reflection, blending spontaneous storytelling with fierce lyricism and dynamic restraint; their improvisations unfold like ritual acts of empathy and resistance, where every strike, breath, and silence reveals an unspoken pact between sound and spirit.

Recorded live at BOTA in Lisbon, the trio of pioneering violinist Carlos 'Zíngaro', bassist João Madeira, and drummer/percussionist Sofia Borges engage in a dynamic and expressive real-time composition, balancing intensity and restraint through intricate musical dialogues, evoking the raw energy of free jazz while embracing contemporary improvisational textures.
